BlackBerry 6.0 OS
A little over a month ago, RIM released details and demos for the upcoming BlackBerry 6.0 operating system. It’s highly probable that a BlackBerry device will be released later this year with the new OS. Let’s jump right into the new features.
Perhaps most importantly, the new OS supports multitouch. The web browser, emails, photos—all include mutlitouch, which makes for a much smoother experience when it comes to navigating your BlackBerry touch screen. Kinetic scrolling enhances the navigation even more. An all-new homescreen lets you customize and rearrange your icons much like on a PC. Accessing the internet with the WebKit browser, you can now have multiple tabs open. Improvements have also been made to the media player and multimedia messaging, including the option of integrating RSS feeds. You can now view all your photos at once, in an album, instead of scrolling through them one at a time. Check back frequently for more on the BlackBerry 6.0 OS, including release date information and other updates.
