Blackberry Pearl 3G

The Blackberry Pearl 3G is the newest member of the Blackberry Pearl line of phones.  The Blackberry Pearl 3G has a strong set of business and entertainment related features.

The built in wi-fi allows for quick connection and browsing when there is an available wi-fi signal.  When there is not an available wi-fi signal the 3G data connection provides an adequate way to connect for browsing, messaging, or emails.  Depending on the network and your location, the 3G may runs considerably slower though than the wi-fi if available.

The Blackberry OS continues to provide strong email and messaging support.  With the addition of social networking in recent year, Blackberry has made it easy to integrate social networking, email and messaging.  BBM or Blackberry Messenger is a great way to keep instant messages flowing.

The optical trackpad is a recent enhancement on the Blackberry phones replacing the old trackball.  Providing the same ease of use without the issues associated with an actual moving part, the trackpad is a great addition.  Add the full qwerty keyboard and SureType technology and it is easy to keep in touch and scroll menus.

The Blackberry Pearl 3G cut no corners in the media arena.  The enhanced media player does a great job of playing video clips and music files.  The Pearl 3G has dedicated buttons for pause, play and skip for added convenience.  The memory card slot is compatible with cards up to 32 GB providing ample memory options.

Finally, the Blackberry App store provides a strong selection of available apps for all Blackberry phones.

Overall, the Blackberry Pearl 3G is a good phone.  Adding a BodyGuardz from NLU is a good way of keeping it scratch free.  There are also many other Blackberry Pearl 3G accessories that can provide protection and convenience when using the phone.

Protect your Smartphone with the Free BlackBerry Protect

Do you worry about what would happen if you ever lost your BlackBerry? Hopefully the answer is yes. Fortunately, Research in Motion (RIM) has created a nifty—and most importantly, free—solution to the problem. The new BlackBerry Protect app will provide you with extra alternatives to locating your device as well as securing your data. Indeed, the days of worrying about data loss and identity theft via a lost or stolen BlackBerry will soon be over.

Let’s say your phone is lost at home, buried somewhere in your gloriously disorganized mess. You know your phone is around somewhere, but calling it doesn’t work because the phone is on silent. No worries; you have BlackBerry Protect. Merely access the app’s web portal, initiate Loud Ring, and your phone will ring loudly for up to a minute. Needless to say, this should be plenty of time for you to locate your device.

Loud Ring is great for locating your phone when you know it’s nearby, but what do you do if your phone is lost in public or, worse yet, stolen? Well, one of the things you can do beforehand is setup free online storage of your recent activities. BlackBerry Protect safely secures your data and, better yet, it only backs up your most recent data following the first full-system backup. These smaller backups minimizes the amount of data being transferred, thus saving you time (and money, depending on how close you are to reaching date transfer limits). Also, if you lose your phone you can then transfer all the stored data back onto your new BlackBerry.

At this point you might be thinking, “This is all great, but what about my sensitive personal and business information? I hate the thought of someone having access to that through my lost phone.” Fortunately, that’s the best thing about BlackBerry Protect. If your phone is lost you can first try locating it with its own internal GPS. Next, you can send it a message that will be displayed across the front of the screen. This message can explain that the phone is lost and to please call you at another number to return it. If this doesn’t work—or if you simply have no faith in your fellow man—BlackBerry Protect allows you to wipe all the data stored on both the phone and its microSD card.

Protect your phone today with BlackBerry Protect. It’s free, convenient, and provides the security you need to protect your personal and business data.

BlackBerry Bold smartphones come with a wide variety of features that are sure to prove handy.  To increase functionality and scrolling, the 9650 continues the BlackBerry tradition of having a trackball; however, this smartphone takes things one step further by incorporating an optical trackpad, which allows users to utilize their smartphone screens in a way similar to that of a laptop trackpad.

    BlackBerry 6.0 OS

A little over a month ago, RIM released details and demos for the upcoming BlackBerry 6.0 operating system.  It’s highly probable that a BlackBerry device will be released later this year with the new OS.  Let’s jump right into the new features.

Perhaps most importantly, the new OS supports multitouch.  The web browser, emails, photos—all include mutlitouch, which makes for a much smoother experience when it comes to navigating your BlackBerry touch screen.  Kinetic scrolling enhances the navigation even more.  An all-new homescreen lets you customize and rearrange your icons much like on a PC.  Accessing the internet with the WebKit browser, you can now have multiple tabs open.  Improvements have also been made to the media player and multimedia messaging, including the option of integrating RSS feeds.  You can now view all your photos at once, in an album, instead of scrolling through them one at a time.  Check back frequently for more on the BlackBerry 6.0 OS, including release date information and other updates.

    Blackberry Curve 8930 Smartphone

    Blackberry Curve 8930 Phone

The BlackBerry Curve 8930 has been billed by its creators as “a sleek new twist on a classic style.”  This smartphone truly fits that description, for it is not only the thinnest QWERTY BlackBerry smartphone to date, but also the lightest.  Yet with a 480×360 pixel display, this BlackBerry is by no means lacking in screen size.  In fact, the HVGA+ display screens are designed to provide crisp, high-quality video and photo images.  BlackBerry Curve expands the functionality of previous BlackBerrys while sticking to basic essential features.

This newest BlackBerry smartphone doesn’t come with 3G access, but it is Wi-Fi compatible.  Because it lacks 3G capabilities, 8930 smartphones are great for indoor use, especially for users who work in buildings with good Wi-Fi access or who have access to a dependable home wireless network or public hotspots.  When a connection is available, you can enjoy streaming videos and music, checking email, shopping online, and other basic internet functions.  BlackBerry makes setting up multiple Wi-Fi networks a simple process that allows for seamless switching back and forth between wireless services.

The BlackBerry Curve 8930 comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera, which allows you to snap print-quality photos.  Moreover, the auto focus, auto flash, and image stabilization features help produce even more high-quality images.  This smartphone also packs a video camera and snap-and-send technology that make it easy to share images and videos in emails and text messages.  The 8930 is also apt at handling mobile video streaming.

As with all new BlackBerry models, the 8930 comes with a built-in GPS navigation system.  The GPS system utilizes BlackBerry Maps, meaning users needn’t worry about being lost or unable to find unfamiliar locations.  The navigation system provides quick, reliable routes to any inputted destination.  A complete selection of Blackberry Curve 8930 Accessories can be found at Discountcell.com

    Blackberry Storm2 9550

    blackberry storm2 9550 cell phone

The BlackBerry 9550, also known as the BlackBerry Storm 2, is a smartphone recently released by BlackBerry.  Unlike most BlackBerrys, this one is a full body touchscreen device that comes without a physical keyboard and that utilizes SureType technology on its virtual keyboards.  Bold 2 comes with more memory than the original Bold as well as two finger recognition, which makes it much easier to type quickly.  It operates on the newest BlackBerry operating system: version 5.0.

The BlackBerry Storm 2 comes with many additional features that everyone looks for in a smartphone these days.  For example, a powerful battery lets you enjoy longer conversations, web browsing, and application use than the average smartphone.  More specifically, users have approximately 5 hours of uninterrupted talk time, or 12 days of standby time.  The battery is easily removable and charges quickly.

Because it was built for endurance and speed, the BlackBerry Storm 2 offers fast, reliable communication and browsing coverage.  Coming in at a diagonal measurement of 3.25 inches, the high resolution display screen (480×360 pixels) supports every color and shade imaginable.  Owners are sure to enjoy a splendid display that enhances all of their multimedia activities.  The 3.2 megapixel camera features auto-focusing and auto-flash technology.  With specs like this, you’re virtually guaranteed to crank out only high-quality snapshots and videos on your Storm 2.  And like most BlackBerrys, the Storm 2 comes with quick touch buttons that allow you to swiftly transition from browsing to mobile talking.

There are two important enhancements worth noting that the Storm 2 made over the Storm.  First is the improved Next-gen SurePress technology.  Combined with SureType technology, SurePress allows for more accurate typing on the Storm 2.  Many users report that it hardly feels like they are using a touchpad on the Storm 2; indeed, the improved technology provides a tangible feel to typing.  Second, the Storm 2 comes with Wi-Fi support, meaning you needn’t worry about having full access to your phone and the internet when at home or the office.

Find Blackberry Storm2 9550 accessories to keep your Blackberry cell phone protected, powered up, and ready to use.
